Let's welcome the change of season with a spring awakening 90 minute yoga class

Spring is the season of growth and renewal. It's time to emerge from the inward time of winter, recharge your yoga practice, and stir up the power to spring forward.

Your yoga practice this time of year should be stimulating and invigorating. We will start the class with an awakening flow and end with cleansing detox poses which will be held a little bit longer.

Want to do something different this mother's day? Bring your mum or your children (10+years) to yoga. Practicing yoga side-by-side with your loved ones can be a very magical experience. 

Come along for a nice gentle flow and some lovely partner work.

Heart Opening Flow

Join me for a candlelit heart opening flow on Sunday the 11th of February 6-7:30pm.

This will consist of 60 minutes flow concentrating on some lovely heart opening postures to open up your heart Chakra then a 30 minute restorative Yin section using blocks to hold postures for longer, finishing with a lead meditation.

Does the run-up to Christmas and New Year feel like stress rather than celebration? Are you so busy looking after everyone else that there’s no time left for you? To have yourself a merry little Christmas, give yourself “The Gift of Self-Care,” a Forrest Yoga workshop with Amy Hanlon.

In this two-hour workshop you will learn how to use some of Forrest Yoga’s basic moves to find the strength, grounding and relaxation needed to support yourself at this stressful time of year. We’ll examine the anatomy of these moves using yoga bodywork, then incorporate them into a delicious asana practice followed by a guided meditation.

Shoulders, Knees & Hips - Workshop & Class

My Guru is back!  Julie trained me to become a yoga teacher in Thailand and I'm thankful she is coming back again this September to visit me and Hot House Yoga.

In this workshop we’ll go beyond the standard alignment cues given in class and examine the correct positioning in poses based on your individual body structure. You'll get a deeper understanding of what's happening in a yoga pose and why some are trickier for you to perform than others.

If you've ever thought "my body just won't do that", or "that doesn't feel right" now's the time to find out why and how you can adjust and modify according to your body. Every body is unique and by knowing how your specific anatomy affects your movement, you'll be better equipped to ensure you're getting maximum benefit from your yoga classes. We will be looking at key hot yoga poses such as Half Moon, Awkward and others.

You'll leave with a clear understanding of how tightness in one joint can impact another and how to stabilise your joints using the correct muscle contraction to keep you injury free!

The first hour will be workshop style and the second hour we'll put everything in to practice with a one hour class.

The Summer Solstice is the doorway to the second half of the year. It is the height of the summer—the longest day and shortest night of Earth's solar year. This is the time when we celebrate the completion of the cycle that began at Winter Solstice .

Let's prepare to celebrate the new summer season with a flow full of SUN salutations and finishing with a relaxing meditation.

Yoga TONE is quickly becoming a HHY favourite! So I'll be teaching a 90 min Yoga TONE class to kickstart our countdown Summer!  As most of you know this is a Vinyasa Flow class where we practise with hand weights, add reps to tone-up our arms and legs, oh and we do few cardio bursts to burn some calories. Prepare to sweat, laugh, tone up and flow to an amazing playlist of upbeat music.

Legs, Bums & Tums 90 Min Yoga Course

60 mins of a Vinyasa Flow + Static postures that specifically target and tone the lower body, followed by 30 mins of floor Core!  Suitable for all levels, as all modifications will be given for each pose. Come join the fun or come and silently curse at me, either way we'll be strengthening those hard-to-tone areas.
