Yoga & Plant Ceremony

After the success of bringing the wisdom of medicine asana, plants and nature to Hot House Yoga in StAndrews, Katrino is back with Ceremony.

⫸⫸⫸⫸
Ceremony - recognising the sacred within a space and within yourself so that you can dive deeper into whatever you have going on in your life.
⫸⫸⫸⫸

Katrino holds these sacred spaces in honour of the movements of the seasons and thinks when nature transitions, it's important to take some time out and notice the transition in us : we are nature and nature is us. We move with the seasons because as human beings, we are part of the earth so we will instinctively begin to feel the shift and this has an impact on decisions we make, the energy we have and the direction we decide to take.

You will be led through a seasonal & elemental vinyasa based yoga asana practice and a deeply restorative reflective stillness so that you can find your own medicine for right now. Everything you already need is already inside of you and sometimes all it takes is a little reflection to find it...

In this workshop, Katrino will guide you through making your own seasonal smudge stick to take away with you.

Bring yourself, blankets, cosy clothes, any plants you would like to add to your smudge stick, essential oils, precious or inspirational items to add to our centre plant inspired altar (crystals, photos etc)
Be prepared clothes wise and mind wise for a yoga practice and going inwards. Please note there will be use of smoke in this ceremony.

P L E A S E N O T E
Within these spaces you are free and here to find your own medicine. It is not the plants or anyone else that does your exploration or healing - it is the intention, your own symbolism and connection to any experience - and that is where the real magic happens.
Everything you need is already within you.

Katrino is a Scotland based yoga teacher, outdoor adventurer and the creator of Yogi Oils. She has a deep interest in nature, the seasons and the plant medicine of Scotland and the world. Katrino explores and shares from experience and knowledge, how we can use and tap into the symbolism and movements of the earth to aid in our understanding of Self.

Breaking Down Vinyasa with Katrino

What is a vinyasa? Is my plank safe? How about my downward facing dog? Where should me feet be in warrior 1 & 2? Does this sound like your mind sometimes in a vinyasa class? Lets explore! Openly and beneficially so that you can feel confident and empowered in your yoga class.

In this 2 hour workshop Vinyasa teacher Katrino will breakdown the common poses and questions we sometimes don't have time to go over in a regular class. After the 2 hours you will leave with a better understanding of alignment, modifications for injuries and your own body and feeling confident to be able to practise on your own or in a led class environment.

You will have lots of opportunities to ask questions, help each other, explore adjustments and practise a little by yourself to feel into the poses with a new found appreciation.

Myofascial Roll & Release

Myofascial Realease is a sports massage technique in which we apply targeted pressure to key points in the body using rubber balls to release muscle tightness that stretching alone cannot unlock.

Fascia plays an important role in the support and function of our bodies as it surrounds and attaches to all structures. It has the ability to stretch and move but can become restricted and tight as a result of physical trauma, inflammation, scarring or even emotional trauma such as stress.

In this workshop, you will learn the self-massage technique to get deep release into the connective tissue and fascia around your body. To book your place, go to the courses section under 'book a class'. This 90 minute workshop is from 1.30 - 3pm and is £20 per person.
